WATER CONSERVATION NOTICE - February 17, 2021

Princeville Utilities Co., Inc. (PUCI) has issued a Princeville Community water conservation notice for all customers Effective Immediately. This is a precautionary measure to conserve the water storage supply due to the severe weather conditions and potential power outages.  Customers are asked to limit water use to essential uses only; such as drinking, cooking and sanitation purposes, until further notice.

PUCI intends to maintain water services to all customers. However, customers are reminded that severe weather conditions; such as strong winds and flooding, can cause power outages and unforeseen damages to the water system facilities.

Please stay tuned to updated reports on our website: https://princevilleutilities.com and Facebook page.  We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

PUCI Tariff, Section III, Conservation Measures and Interruption of Water Supply, Item 3:

“PUCI reserves the right to shut off water from the mains with reasonable notice, except in case of emergency, for the purpose of making repairs, extensions, alterations, or for other reasons and will not be responsible nor liable for any property damage or loss incurred by the consumer due to such interruption of service.  Consumers depending upon a continuous supply of water shall provide emergency water storage and any check valves or other devices necessary for the protection of plumbing or fixtures against failure of the pressure or supply of water in PUCI's mains.  Repairs or improvements will be prosecuted as rapidly as practicable and, insofar as practicable, at such times as will cause the least inconvenience to the consumer.”

If you have any questions, please contact the PUCI administration office at 826‐6100.
