EMERGENCY WATER SHUT OFF - THURSDAY, APRIL 23, 2020 - 9:00 A.M. TO 5:00 P.M.

Princeville Utilities Co., Inc. (PUCI) has scheduled an Emergency Water Shut Off notice to Princeville and surrounding communities effective April 23, 2020 from 9 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. for repairs to a water main line break. (The actual duration of the shut off will depend on the conditions encountered.)

Princeville Utilities Co., Inc. (PUCI) Tariff, Section III, Conservation Measures and Interruption of Water Supply, Item 3:

“PUCI reserves the right to shut off water from the mains with reasonable notice,

except in case of emergency, for the purpose of making repairs, extensions, alterations,

or for other reasons and will not be responsible nor liable for any property damage

or loss incurred by the consumer due to such interruption of service.  Consumers depending upon a continuous supply of water shall provide emergency water storage

and any check valves or other devices necessary for the protection of plumbing or

fixtures against failure of the pressure or supply of water in PUCI's mains.  Repairs

or improvements will be prosecuted as rapidly as practicable and, insofar as practicable,

at such times as will cause the least inconvenience to the consumer.”

Our operations crew will flush our water mains thoroughly at the conclusion of the repair, however, it is possible that some air or sediment may remain in the system.  When you turn on your water again after water service is restored, please allow your water to run until it is clear to ensure flushing of any air or sediment from your plumbing.

If you experience problems with your water service AFTER your water service has been restored, please contact PUCI operations at 826-3920 to 3:30 p.m. or PUCI administration at 826-6100 between 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
