EMERGENCY WATER SHUT OFF / RUN WATER UNTIL CLEAR NOTICE - Tuesday, April 13, 2021 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Please be advised that there was a water line break at 2:30 p.m. and emergency repair was done this afternoon. The area affected was:

Water service was temporarily restored, work will be completed Wednesday, April 14, 2021. We are requesting that customers flush their water as air or sediment may be in the system.  When you turn on your water again, please allow your water to run until it is clear to ensure flushing of any air or sediment from your plumbing.

PUCI Tariff, Section III, Conservation Measures and Interruption of Water Supply, Item 3:

“PUCI reserves the right to shut off water from the mains with reasonable notice, except in case of emergency, for the purpose of making repairs, extensions, alterations, or for other reasons and will not be responsible nor liable for any property damage or loss incurred by the consumer due to such interruption of service.  Consumers depending upon a continuous supply of water shall provide emergency water storage and any check valves or other devices necessary for the protection of plumbing or fixtures against failure of the pressure or supply of water in PUCI's mains.  Repairs or improvements will be prosecuted as rapidly as practicable and, insofar as practicable, at such times as will cause the least inconvenience to the consumer.”
