Avoid Flushing Catheters, Large Items and Needles

We have an ongoing problem with large items being flushed down the toilets which causes problems with our Sewer Pump Stations (SPS), in this case specifically SPS #2 located at the end of Albert Road.

 Princeville Utilities has 6 Sewer Pump Stations throughout Phase 1 and at Ka'iulani.  A Sewer Pump Station pushes wastewater from point A to our wastewater treatment plant for processing.  Large objects can cause the SPS to malfunction, back-up and spill.  

Please do not flush catheters (this is a recent and current problem), rags, Swiffer pads or any large objects and needles in the toilets. We want to maintain our equipment’s integrity, Thank you,
