PUCI is dedicated to our island community and believes in supporting its local organizations. With that in mind, we would like to share information about some of the Kaua'i organizations that we support.
Girl Scouts of Hawai'i enables girls to build character and skills for success in the real world, and to develop the qualities of great leadership. PUCI is happy to support this valuable organization during its annual campaign each year. See here for more information.
Boy Scouts of Hawai'i is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations, and helps build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. PUCI proudly supports the Kaua'i District of the Boy Scouts.
Leadership Kaua'i helps to develop leaders with awareness of and sensitivity to the culture and people of Kaua'i, trains leaders to succeed in this unique island environment, and motivates them to effectively address community needs and improve the quality of life. Our manager Larry Dill is an alumnus of Leadership Kaua'i and we are pleased to support this organization.
The Contractors Association of Kaua'i is a non-profit organization that seeks to promote educational programs and encourage innovation. It conducts fundraisers each year to raise money for their scholarship program for high school graduates. See here for more information.
MathCounts is a national program that promotes middle school mathematics achievement, under the leadership of the National Society of Professional Engineers at the local and state levels. MathCounts provides Kaua'i middle school students with the foundation for success in science, technology, engineering and mathematics careers by making achievement challenging and exciting. PUCI gives monetary contributions and countless hours of volunteer time to this program.
Kaua’i Habitat for Humanity (a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International) is a nonprofit Christian housing ministry which has completed 100 houses around the island since its inception in 1992. PUCI gives not only monetary donations, but many hours of volunteer time, with our manager Larry Dill serving on the Board of Directors.
